SOGIE:SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY AND EXPRESSION?

Hello everyone, My name is Roxy and I am a Straight Transgender Woman. I belong to the LGBT Community to our Society. So this articles I will discuss about SOGIE but before we proceed to the topic lets start from basic.

WHY I NEED TO DELIVER THIS?

You know what there are seminars in LGBT FORUM concerning issues about LGBT RIGHTS and there is SOGIE about that and it takes time to deliver this message to the public so people can understand if who really we are in our community and to those who have identity crises know where they are and know who really they are.

And now lets start:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENT OF SEX AND GENDER?

Sex and Gender difference? SEX is IDENTIFY by birth, the Doctor or any person can tell or assign in our birth certificate if who who we are. For example if there is a Penis it put Male and if Vagina it put Female, there are some cases is intersex not develop the genetalia or two genital exists.

And now lets proceed to SOGIE:

ATTRACTION, IDENTITY AND EXPRESSION

SOGIE stands for Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression. And now I want you to remember the Three. Hence, when we say Sexual Orientation we talk ATTRACTION. TO WHOM YOU ATTRACT? Gender Identity remember is IDENTITY only. HOW YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF? WHO AND WHAT YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF? Expression is to REPRESENT yourself to the public. HOW YOU REPRESENT YOURSELF TO THE PUBLIC?

This three Attraction, Identity and Expression we must hold this so that we don’t confused ourself if we don’t hold this 3 we confused more.

Sexual Orientation:

And now I put my self for an example: my sexual orientation is HETEROSEXUAL. When we say Heterosexual is attracted men to a women or women to a men. My boyfriend is a man and I am a woman learn why I’m a woman that means that my relationship is HETEROSEXUAL. Male and Female relationship. And now male attracted to male or female attracted to female its called HOMOSEXUAL. The term for them is Gay or Lesbian. When we say bisexual who are attracted both to male or female. There’s also some cases we can’t judge but it happen that there’s some people attracted to gay, lesbian, male or female and transexual which is called PANSEXUAL and theres also some cases no feelings or attraction to somebody in male female gay and lesbian and transexual it called ASEXUAL.

And now lets proceed to next category Gender Identity:

Gender Identity:

Gender Identity from the word itself, HOW YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF? I identity my self as a woman thats why it called TRANSGENDER there is a TRANSITION based on my sex when I was born male but when I grow up and I’m  mature enough I know my self that I’m a woman. I am a transgender staright woman. HOW BECOME A STRAIGHT WOMAN? Because my sexual orientation attraction is Heterosexual I only want a man and I am a woman. And now for example if I’m attracted to both woman not a trans to a straight woman or  cisgender? HOW IS CALLED? I’m a transgender  lesbian woman because I’m attracted to same gender to same woman but you can’t judge me there that I am a man, because I identity my self as a woman.

And now lets proceed to Gender Expression:

Gender Expression:

HOW YOU REPRESENT YOUR SELF TO PUBLIC? For me I represent my self as a woman, feminine, wearing girls dress. I live what I feel inside or it might in others they live as masculine. If you can see for example a demure trans, short hair but wearing men’s clothes but they identity  thereself as a woman so it means that she’s a transgender. She’s a girl don’t shatter her mind, born male but maybe her sexual orientation is difference for example she said herself that she’s a girl even if short hair wearing men’s clothes and her expression is masculine she don’t like to wear girl dress but she identity as a girl but her orientation is bisexual attracted to male and female that’s it.
